Scrabble dünyanın hemen hemen her ülkesinde oynanan önde gelen 31 farklı dil seçeneği olan bir kelime türetme oyunudur. Gaziantep Kolej Vakfı İlkokulunda bu yıl başlattığımız ve Ekim ayında online derslerle devam eden İngilizce Scrabble kulübünün amacı, öğrencilere eğlenerek İngilizce kelime dağarcıklarını kullanma ve geliştirme şansı yaratmak ve aynı zamanda strateji yapabilme yeteneklerini geliştirmektir.

Kulüp öğrencilerinin oluşturduğu Scrabble Takımımız ile okullar arası turnuvalara da öğrenci göndermeyi hedefleyen kulübümüz İngilizceyi seven ve kelime hazinesini geliştirmek isteyen öğrencilerimize eğlenceli bir fırsat sunuyor.

Oyunun mucidi Alfred Mosher Butts’ın doğum tarihi olan 13 Nisan ise her yıl, bu oyunun tutkunları tarafından "Dünya Scrabble Günü" olarak kutlanıyor.

Scrabble is one of the leading word formation game that has 31 different language options and is played in almost every country in the world. The aim of the English Scrabble Club, which we started at Gaziantep College Foundation Primary School this academic year continues with online lessons in October, is to create a chance for students to improve their English vocabulary while having fun, and at the same time to improve their ability to strategize.

The club which aims to send our school Scrabble Team formed by club students to inter-school tournaments, offers a fun opportunity for our students who love English and want to improve their vocabulary.

April 13,the birth date of Alfred Mosher Butts, the inventor of the game, is celebrated as "Scrabble Day" by the fans of this game every year.
