We attended the social responsibility projects in high school symposium held online on Sunday, May 2, under the coordination of Robert College to increase the awareness of high school students about community service activities, together with our students from Gaziantep College Foundation Private Science High School, Gaziantep College Foundation Private Anatolian High School and Cemil Alevli College, and our advisor teachers.

The main purpose of the symposium; The aim was to bring high school students together with non-governmental organizations working in different fields from the world of social work and to increase the motivation of students on social responsibility.In the symposium, 2 important speakers from the world of social responsibility and workshops of non governmental organizations working on different issues such as environment , animal rights, education , disability rights and peace took place.

The opening speech was made by Boğaziçi University faculty member Prof.Dr.Levent Kurnaz, after listening to the keynote speakers, the students participated in the workshops of the non governmental organizations of their choice, got information about the social work projects in their field of interest , and took part in activities that will generate ideas together to develop social responsibility projects.

ROBERT KOLEJİ 10.LİSELERDE SOSYAL SORUMLULUK SEMPOZYUMU

Lise öğrencilerinin topluma hizmet çalışmaları hakkındaki farkındalığını artırmaya yönelik Robert Kolejinin koordinatörlüğünde düzenlenen ve 02 Mayıs Pazar günü çevrimiçi olarak gerçekleşen “Liselerde Sosyal Sorumluluk Projeleri Sempozyumu”na Gaziantep Kolej Vakfı Özel Fen Lisesi, Gaziantep Kolej Vakfı Özel Anadolu Lisesi ve Cemil Alevli Koleji (IBDP) öğrencilerimiz ve danışman öğretmenlerimizle birlikte katıldık.

Sempozyumun başlıca amacı; lise dönemindeki öğrencileri sosyal hizmet dünyasından farklı alanlarda çalışan sivil toplum kuruluşları ile bir araya getirmek ve öğrencilerin sosyal sorumluluk konusundaki motivasyonlarını yükseltmekti. Sempozyumda sosyal sorumluluk dünyasından 2 önemli konuşmacı ve çevre, hayvan hakları, eğitim, engelli hakları, barış gibi farklı konularda çalışan sivil toplum kurumlarının atölye çalışmaları yer aldı.

Açılış konuşmasını Boğaziçi Üniversitesi öğretim üyesi Prof. Dr. Levent KURNAZ’ın yaptığı sempozyumda öğrenciler ana konuşmacıları dinledikten sonra kendi seçtikleri sivil toplum kurumlarının atölye çalışmalarına katılarak ilgilendikleri alandaki sosyal hizmet projeleri hakkında bilgi sahibi oldular ve sosyal sorumluluk projeleri geliştirmek için birlikte fikir üretecek etkinliklerde yer aldılar.
