GKV Cemil Alevli College 9th,10th and 11th graders got together under the consultancy of Berkay Tahtacı and they have prepared collection and donation book act. Within the venture, which kept going all through March, the students effectively executed the project in participation and solidarity by applying the steps of the CAS project: investigate, arrangement, action, feedback and presentation. First of all students have contacted with the Şehit Yakup Balbey Primary School educator Dilek Öztürk. Within the scope of the inquiry they have found out that the school was planning to construct a library and it needed books. Thereupon, some of the students who were divided into working groups designed a poster as the first step of the project and announced the project by making copies of poster and sticking it on the boards and walls of GKV Primary and Secondary School. As a second step students arranged book donation boxes to extend the support in the project and to attract the attention of primary and secondary school students. With the guidance of art teacher Melek Kaman Aslan students have prepared multi – colored boxes with drawing,design and painting works and cartoon characters which helped them to improve their creativity. As the third phase some of the students went around to each GKV Primary and Secondary School classroom with the prepared boxes and asked their school mates to support the campaign. For a week all donation boxes stood in elemantary and secondary school halls GKV Primary and Secondary School students demonstrated tremendous concern by donating hundreds of books everyday. As the fourth phase thousands of books were packed by the Cemil Alevli IB students and made ready to deliver it to Şehit Yakup Balbey Primary School. Students who have worked with great self denial throughout the Project boarded on the school bus with the parcels and visited the Sehit Yakup Balbey Primary School. GKV Cemil Alevli IB Students were welcomed by Dilek Öztürk in Şehit Balbey Primary school and they have delivered the books which they had collected as part of their donation campaign. GKV Cemil Alevli IB students have organized a social occasion with the class 2 / H students and celebrated the completing wonderful project which they have devoted themselves.

GKV ÖZEL CEMİL ALEVLİ KOLEJİ (IB) ÖĞRENCİLERİNDEN CAS PROJESİ: KİTAP TOPLAMA VE BAĞIŞLAMA ETKİNLİĞİ

GKV Özel Cemil Alevli (IB) Koleji 9., 10. ve 11. sınıf öğrencileri CAS Koordinatörü Berkay Tahtacı danışmanlığında IB-CAS (Yaratıcılık+Etkinlik+Toplum Hizmeti) programı için bir araya gelip, kitap toplama ve bağışlama projesini tasarladılar. Mart ayı boyunca süren projede öğrenciler CAS projesinin aşamaları olan araştırma, hazırlık, eylem, geri bildirim ve sunum adımlarını uygulayarak, işbirliği ve dayanışma halinde projeyi başarıyla hayata geçirdiler. Öncelikli aşama olarak araştırma kapsamında Şehit Yakup Balbey İlkokulu sınıf öğretmeni Dilek Öztürk’le irtibata geçen öğrenciler okulun kütüphane yapımı hazırlığında olduğunu ve kitap ihtiyaçlarının bulunduğunu tespit ettiler. Bunun üzerine çalışma kollarına ayrılan öğrencilerden bir kısmı projenin ilk adımı olarak bir poster tasarladılar ve bu posteri çoğaltıp GKV Özel İlkokulu ve Ortaokulu pano ve duvarlarına yapıştırarak projenin duyurusunu ilan ettiler. İkinci adım olarak öğrenciler projeye katılımı arttırmak, ilkokul ve ortaokul öğrencilerinin ilgisini çekmek adına kitap bağış kutuları hazırladılar. GKV Özel Liseleri Görsel Sanatlar öğretmeni Melek Kaman Aslan rehberliğinde resim atölyesine geçen öğrenciler, burada yaratıcılıklarını geliştirecek çizim, tasarım ve boyama çalışmalarıyla ve çizgi karakterlerle çok renkli kutular hazırladılar. Üçüncü adım olarak öğrencilerden bazıları, GKV Özel İlkokul ve Ortaokulu sınıflarını hazırlanan kutularla tek tek gezerek, ilkokul ve ortaokul öğrencilerinden kampanyaya destek olmalarını istediler. Bir hafta boyunca kitap bağış kutuları İlkokul ve Ortaokul koridorlarında durdu ve GKV İlkokul ve Ortaokul öğrencileri müthiş bir duyarlılık örneği göstererek her gün yüzlerce kitap bağışında bulundular. Günlük olarak GKV Cemil Alevli IB öğrencileri tarafından toplanıp, boşaltılan kitap bağış kutuları her gün dolup taştı. Dördüncü adım olarak toplanıp, biriktirilen binlerce kitap Cemil Alevli IB öğrencileri tarafından kolilere konularak paketlendi ve Şehit Yakup Balbey İlkokulu’na götürülmek üzere hazırlandı. Proje boyunca özveriyle çalışan öğrenciler son aşama olarak kolilerle beraber okul servisine binip Şehit Yakup Balbey İlkokulu’nu ziyaret ettiler. Şehit Yakup Balbey İlkokulu sınıf öğretmeni Dilek Öztürk tarafından karşılanan GKV Cemil Alevli IB öğrencileri, bağış kampanyası kapsamında topladıkları kitapları teslim ettiler ve Şehit Yakup Balbey 2/H sınıfı öğrencileriyle bir kaynaşma etkinliği düzenleyip, projeyi başarıyla tamamlamanın sevincini yaşadılar.
