Gaziantep Kolej Vakfı Özel İlkokulu 2. sınıf öğrencileri, IB PYP “Gezegeni Paylaşmak” teması kapsamında “Geleceğe Nefes” ağaç dikme etkinliğine katıldı. Öğrenciler öğretmenleri eşliğinde fidan dikerek GKV Hatıra Ormanı’nın oluşmasına katkı sağladı. Etkinlik sırasında her öğrenci diktiği fidanı sahiplenerek hazırladığı kartları ağaçlarına astı. Bu çalışma sayesinde öğrenciler çevre bilinci kazanırken sorumluluk alma, iş birliği ve iletişim becerilerini de geliştirdi. Gerçek yaşamla bağlantılı bu öğrenme deneyimi sayesinde öğrenciler doğayı korumanın önemini yaşayarak öğrenmiş ve sürdürülebilir yaşam konusunda farkındalık kazanmıştır. Geleceğe yeşil bir miras bırakmanın önemini bir kez daha ortaya koymuştur.

Breath for the Future Social Responsibility Project

Second grade students of Gaziantep College Foundation Private Primary School took part in the “Breath for the Future” tree planting activity as part of the IB PYP “Sharing the Planet” transdisciplinary theme. Accompanied by their teachers, the students planted saplings and contributed to the formation of the GKV Memorial Forest.

During the event, each student took responsibility for the sapling they planted and hung the cards they had prepared on their trees. Through this meaningful experience, students strengthened their environmental awareness while also developing essential skills such as responsibility, collaboration, and communication.

This authentic learning experience enabled students to establish real-life connections and gain a deeper understanding of the importance of protecting nature and living sustainably. The activity once again highlighted the value of leaving a greener and more sustainable world for future generations.

A breath for the future, hope for nature!
