On Wednesday, February 12 2020, GKV Cemil Alevli College hosted the IB DP Parent Forum at GKV Private School Campus.
Parent Forum with the theme “ Understanding the IB” addressed to GKV IB parents is intended for parents and students who are in 10th grades and have recently started DP Year 1 in the English-speaking International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
IB Forum was held in two sessions involving a full presentation on the IB philosophy and syllabus with the IB Diploma program requirements by the diploma program Coordinator of GKV Cemil Alevli College. Also the IB DP group subjects were oriented to the parents by IB teachers. IB Diploma program Coordinator Ms. Kara informed parents about 2021 Academic Calendar for assessments by emphasizing the impact of parent’s support and care on student’s academic success. 2021 IB DP November Exam candidates were also involved in the DP Forum sessions to share their learning experiences throughout their pre-diploma years.
The Forum providing opportunities for parents to meet and discuss items with IB Team Staff ended by a Q&A session.
GKV CEMİL ALEVLİ KOLEJİ IB DİPLOMA PROGRAMI 1. VELİ ÇALIŞTAYI YAPILDI
2021 Kasım IB Sınav Adayı öğrenci velilerine yönelik GKV Cemil Alevli Konferans Salonu’nda çalıştay düzenlendi.
Çalıştayın 1. oturumu GKV Cemil Alevli Koleji IB Diploma Program Koordinatörü Özlem Kara’nın “IB Programını Anlamak” sunumu ile başladı. Sunumda Bakalorya eğitim hedefleri ve eğitim felsefesi -diploma programı - IB öğrenen profili, IB diploma programının amaçlarına yer verildi. IB DP programının uluslararası ve Türkiye üniversitelerinde tanınırlığı istatistiklerle velilere anlatılarak soruları yanıtlandı. 2021 Kasım dönemi öğrencilerimize yönelik hazırlanan akademik çalışma takvimi velilerimizle paylaşılarak veli desteğinin önemi vurgulandı.
2. oturumda IB ders öğretmenlerinin derslerini tanıtarak, ders kazanımlarını, derslerinin Türk müfredat programına entegrasyonlarını ve derslerin gerekliliklerini içeren interaktif sunumları ile devam etti.
Çalıştayın son bölümünde öğrenci velilerimizin soruları cevaplanarak bireysel görüşmeler yapıldı. Çalıştay, katılan tüm veli ve destek veren öğretmenlerimize yönelik GKV Özel Liseleri Müdürü Mehtap Özdemir’in teşekkür konuşması ile sona erdi.
